I am a plant evolutionary ecologist interested the genetics of species interactions, the value of genetic diversity in plant communities and plant conservation.
I work in a variety of sytems and have current projects on parsitic plant-host plant interactions, plant-pollinator interactions, epiphytes and the microbial environment of the rhizosphere. I am an experimental biologist and work at a range of scales including in the field, in experimental gardens and greenhouses and in the lab.
Previously, I worked as a conservation officer at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
I am happy to work in both temperate and tropical systems and have taught for a number of years on tropical ecology field courses in Belize and Ecuador.
